How to convert BMP to JPG

    1. Choose or drop your BMP files. You can add several at once.
    2. Check that “To” is set to JPG.
    3. Press “Convert to JPG” and download the results — or all of them as one ZIP.

    BMP vs JPG

BMP — Bitmap image. BMP is an uncompressed Windows image format. Files are very large because every pixel is stored as-is, so it is rarely used outside older Windows software.

JPG — JPEG image. JPG (JPEG) is the most widely supported photo format. It uses lossy compression, which keeps photos small by discarding detail the eye barely notices.

Convert BMP to JPG when you need a file for sharing photos, email, and uploading to sites that accept nothing else. BMP is better suited to legacy Windows programs.

    FAQ

    5
    Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser using your own device’s processor. Your files are never sent to a server, so nobody — including us — can see them. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.

    Will I lose quality?

JPG is saved at 92% quality, which is visually indistinguishable from the original for photos. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white.

Is there a file size or daily limit?

No limits, and no sign-up. Because nothing is uploaded, we don’t pay for your conversions and have no reason to cap them. Very large files are limited only by your device’s memory.

Can I convert many BMP files at once?

Yes. Add as many files as you like; each is converted to JPG, and “Download all” saves them together as a ZIP.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. It works in any modern browser — Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Edge — on phones, tablets and computers. Older or low-memory phones may be slower with very large files.
