How to convert GIF to JPG

    1. Choose or drop your GIF files. You can add several at once.
    2. Check that “To” is set to JPG.
    3. Press “Convert to JPG” and download the results — or all of them as one ZIP.

    GIF vs JPG

GIF — Graphics Interchange Format. GIF is an old image format limited to 256 colors, best known for short animations. For still images it is usually larger and lower quality than PNG.

JPG — JPEG image. JPG (JPEG) is the most widely supported photo format. It uses lossy compression, which keeps photos small by discarding detail the eye barely notices.

Convert GIF to JPG when you need a file for sharing photos, email, and uploading to sites that accept nothing else. GIF is better suited to simple animations and very old software.

    FAQ

    5
    Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser using your own device’s processor. Your files are never sent to a server, so nobody — including us — can see them. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.

    Will I lose quality?

JPG is saved at 92% quality, which is visually indistinguishable from the original for photos. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white. Only the first frame of an animated GIF is kept.

Is there a file size or daily limit?

No limits, and no sign-up. Because nothing is uploaded, we don’t pay for your conversions and have no reason to cap them. Very large files are limited only by your device’s memory.

Can I convert many GIF files at once?

Yes. Add as many files as you like; each is converted to JPG, and “Download all” saves them together as a ZIP.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. It works in any modern browser — Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Edge — on phones, tablets and computers. Older or low-memory phones may be slower with very large files.
